The Maison des Lauriers is a charming Maison d'hotes (Bed and Breakfast) perfectly located between the Cevennes mountains and the Mediterranean Sea in the heart of a village of great character with the historic town of Uzes close by.
|
The Maison des Lauriers offers its guests all the charm of an authentic 18th century residence with beautiful vaulted rooms and yet providing all modern conveniences to ensure a warm and comfortable stay. |
- very large rooms with all conveniences provided
- breakfast served in the shade of century-old laurels in a delightful French-style box garden
- enjoy relaxing on a large terraced area which leads to the swimming pool
If the weather is inclement, there is a reading/relaxation area indoors next to a large fireplace. There is a second room where you can watch video films.
The village of Arpaillargues (pron. AR-PIE-YARG) is built around its historic castle and provides the perfect starting point for visits to some of the most beautiful and historic sites in Provence - the Roman Pont du Gard aqueduct, Avignon with its majestic Papal palace and the Roman city of Nimes with its famous amphitheatre.
Other activities include hiking, canoeing and, of course, the Mediterranean. Of special interest is the Camargue Regional Park and Saintes Maries de la Mer.
